My Blog About How I Discovered the Perfect Flooring For My Brand New House

A few weeks back to try and find a new hardwood floor, as I am in the process of decorating my new home.


I have been trying to avoid this stage for weeks now, but as a result of all the decorating in the bedroom, the dusty and paint splattered carpet, just had to go.


So I decided it was time to visit the showroom to discover what type of floor was available to me, Hoping to find the perfect flooring for my bedroom, something that looked classic and elegant but without the gigantic price tag.


Whilst in the showroom. I was shown a range of samples from laminate flooring all the way to tile flooring and carpets, The sales representative was so informative and surprisingly merry considering it was a Monday. He listened as I told him my worries about wooden flooring. My main worry was that it would look cheap, many wooden floors now remind me of a show home and don't feel very homely.


After hours of searching I came to a flooring I liked, a dark brown pine hardwood flooring. To me it looked like a flooring you would imagine in an old-fashioned house , discovered underneath an old moth-eaten carpet. The pine was dark brown with an aged feel. I thought it would be perfect for my room. The sales rep told me this was one of their more popular styles with many people opting to use it in bedrooms and living rooms.


I also asked if it would be an issue because I have a dog and apparently wooden floors are easier to maintain than carpets. Obviously stains can be mopped up easier and dust can be swept up much easier. The people at the showroom just advised me to keep my dogs nails trimmed so no scratches were made to my flooring. I even got to take a sample home and after days of thinking I decided to get pine wooden flooring in my bedroom.


Many people I know already have wooden flooring, but there are so many varieties. From traditional wood like Pine and Oak all the way to professionally lacquered wood and bamboo, all of which look great and can add a twist to any kind of room. Whilst I was there I also had a sneak peak at the tiling and laminate flooring and I think I have already found the perfect floor for my kitchen!!


It has been a week now since a Hardwood floors dallas specialist installed wooden flooring and my bedroom already looks so much spacious. Not only does it look stylish but it also adds the final touch to my bedroom that I have worked so hard on for the previous few weeks. It is easy to clean and it is a lot cosier than I originally thought it would be, but to make it more so I added a vintage rug at the bottom of my bed.


My wooden floor has made my house look very classic and there are many styles avaliable for whatever look your after. Whether you would like it to look antiquarian or cutting edge, there is a style of flooring for everyone.
